Is it Imagination or Satan?

Do our thoughts interfere with our happiness? How often have we sat around thinking about what someone is doing with someone else?
Not being able to control the thought waves of our minds could be a source of mental anguish for wives living polygamy. Thoughts of polygamy occurring in our lives could be a preoccupation or obsession, even before we get married
Have we been confusing imagination with the whispers of Satan? Do we live too much in our minds, listening to Satan?

There are gud thoughts which are called Ilham or inspiration and bad thoughts which are called whisperings of satan.The Prophet SAW said there are two impulses in soul, one impulse of angel which calls towards gud and confirms truth. He who feels this impulsee should know its from ALLAH SWT. Another impulse cums from satan which leads to doubt and holds out the truth as falsehood and prohibits gud works. He who feels this should seek refuge in ALLAH SWT from the accursed satan.
When one makes ZIKR of ALLAH SWT the satan flees away for that moment but tries to make one forgetful of it. This fight continues till one’s death. The Prophet SAW said satan moves in man like the circulation of blood. Satan said to GOD “I wil keep sitting in THY Straight path for them. Then I shall run to them by their front, by their back, by their right side and by their left side” 7.17
So you see Ana if it is negative or bad thoughts then it is satan’s whisperings that is why ALLAH SWT revealed Surah An -Naas for the protection of mankind from satan.
We have to constantly examine our thoughts to see whether they are from ALLAH SWT or if they are from satan the cursed one. If we have GOD Fear (i.e. we do not wanna displease ALLAH SWT in any of our actions or thoughts)then ALLAH SWT will guide us to recognize which is which.

Ana, Whenever you feel consumed by thoughts which are making u feel down and unhappy read Our BELOVED’S SAW Dua ” I seek refuge to THEE with the perfect words which no religious or irreligious man misses, from the evil which enters the world and which comes out of it, which comes down from heaven and which ascends to it, from the trials of day and night, from what roams about during the day and night except what travels with good, O MERCIFUL”.

Thank you for explaining about thoughts, whispers and Satan in such an easy, simplistic and precise way for me and others to understand. I’m sure what you have stated will help many, as it has helped me and I pray you reap mega barakats for taking time to comment and share your knowledge of the Truth with us.
