What We Need to Know for a Peaceful and Tranquil Polygamous Life

polygamy 411 Before one can live a peaceful, tranquil, polygamous lifestyle, one has to have the correct belief of our religion, which is Islam. First, one must know the Articles of Faith in Islam, which are as follows:

To believe in the Oneness of Allah.
To believe in all His Angels.
To believe in all His Books.
To believe in all His Prophets.
To believe in the Day of Resurrection.

A huge problem I have seen with Muslims is that many defy Allah. They only acknowledge the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH – Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him) and they ignore all of Allah’s other Prophets (Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Them). Allah swt (Great and Glorious is He) tells us in the Holy Quran not to differentiate between the Prophets, but many do it anyhow.  I have cited below a number of Ayat with reference to it:

“Say ye: ‘We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: and we bow to Allah (in Islam).
Quran: Surah 2, Ayah 136

“The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His Messengers. ‘We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His Messengers.’ And they say: ‘We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys.”
Quran: Surah 2, ayah 285

“Say: ‘We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam).”
Quran: Surah 3, Ayah 84

“O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Day of Judgement, hath gone far, far astray.”
Quran: Surah 4, Ayah 136

“Those who deny Allah and His Messengers, and (those who) wish to separate Allah from His Messengers, saying: ‘We believe in some but reject others’: and (those who) wish to take a course midway-“
Quran: Surah 4, Ayah 150

“They are in truth (equally) Unbelievers; and We have prepared for Unbelievers a humiliating punishment.”
Quran: Surah 4, Ayah 151

“To those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and make no distinction between any of the messengers, we shall soon give their (due) rewards: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”
Quran: Surah 4, Ayah 152

“There is, in their stories, instructions for men endued with understanding. It is not a tale invented, but a confirmation of what went before it – a detailed exposition of all things, and a Guide and a Mercy to any such as believe”
Quran: Surah 12, Ayah 111

“The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: namely that ye should remain steadfast in Religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. Allah chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him).”
Quran: Surah 42, Ayah 13

Believers believe in the ONENESS of Allah. It is one of the Articles of Faith in Islam mentioned above. There are many Muslims who do not mention the name of Allah without mentioning the name of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) along with Him. It is Shirk (setting up partners with Allah or making someone or something equal to Him). Shirk is a grievous sin. It is a huge sin that will land a person into the Hellfire in and of itself, unless the person repents and seeks Allah’s forgiveness.

“And most of them believe not in Allah without associating (others as partners) with Him!”
Quran: Surah 12, Ayah 106

Everything we need to know is in the Holy Quran. The Quran is replete in knowledge. We are to rely on the Quran because it is last Book that Allah revealed to His last Prophet, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who was the Seal of the Prophets. It confirms what was in the earlier Books sent to the Prophets who lived before the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and it leaves out what is no longer necessary.

Allah swt says:

“O People of the Book! There hath come to you Our Messenger, revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book. And passing over much (That is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book-
“Quran: Surah 5, Ayah 15

“Wherewith Allah guideth all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety, and leadeth them out of darkness, by His Will unto the light – guideth them to a Path that is straight.”
Quran: Surah 5, Ayah 16

“And this is a Book which We have sent down, bringing blessings, and confirming (the Revelations) which came before it: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this (Book), and they are constant in guarding their Prayers.”
Quran: Surah 6, Ayah 92

“This Quran is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book – wherein there is no doubt – from the Lord of the Worlds.”
Quran: Surah 10, Ayah 37

“Nay!he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him).
Quran: Surah 37, Ayah 37

“Nothing is said to thee that was not said to the messengers before thee: that thy Lord has at His command (all) Forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty.”
Quran: Surah 41, Ayah 43

“If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this Revelation is sent down (replete) with knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! Will ye even then submit (to Islam)?”
Quran: Surah 11, Ayah 14

There are many Muslims who not only ignore Allah’s Prophets (other than the Prophet Muhammad – PBUH), and ignore all the earlier Books and the Quran as well, but there are some who have made books (Hadiths) compiled by man more important than the Holy Quran. People have written those books (the Hadiths) with their own hands without Allah having authorized them to do so.

Many Muslims rely heavily on books (Hadiths) compiled by man. All one needs to do is search for anything online and one will find quotes from Hadiths. One can barely find an Ayah from the Quran. Many Muslims have made Hadiths more important than the words of Allah – the Quran. Many Muslims have never read the Quran, therefore, do no not what is in it.

“And there are among them illiterates, who know not the Book, but (see therein their own) desires, and they do nothing but conjecture.”
Quran: Surah 2, Ayah 78

“Then woe to those who write The Book with their own hands, and then say: “This is from Allah, “to traffic with it for a miserable price! – Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.”
Quran: Surah 2, Ayah 79

Hadiths pertain only to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They dismiss all of Allah’s other Prophets. They are not Books sent down to Prophets from Allah swt.

No one is saying don’t read Hadiths, I am saying don’t equate the Hadith with the Quran. The Quran exists alone. The Hadiths do not go with it. To equate the Hadiths with the Quran is Shirk, a most heinous sin.

When each Prophet was living, each Prophet said to his people, “Fear Allah and obey me”. Prophets cannot be obeyed any longer for the mere fact that they are no longer living. One cannot obey someone who is not alive. It is why we have the Quran. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) left us the Holy Quran. Allah revealed the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by way of His angel. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) lived the Quran. He and all the other Prophets mentioned in the Quran are our examples.

One wonders why Muslims today are in the sad state that they are in – why their condition is so dismal and they cannot prosper and prevail the way the earlier generations of Muslim did. The answer is simple. They’ve turned their backs on Allah. They don’t believe in Allah. They’ve changed the religion. They’ve accepted a religion that is not Islam.

Allah swt say: “If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).
Quran: Surah 3, Ayah 85

Many people today no longer follow the teachings of the Prophets (Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Them).

“But after them followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts: soon then, will they face destruction-“
Quran: Surah 19:Ayah 59

We are not to worship the Prophets. They were mere messengers. We should respect them all. They are our examples to follow.

For anyone to have peace and tranquility, not only in a polygamous marriage, but in their daily lives, they must believe in the Articles of Faith in Islam mentioned above. They must stop committing shirk. Allah is One God. He has no partners. No one and nothing is equal to Him.

I wrote the above post so I don’t have to keep reiterating the information in comments. The reason I did not open the post for discussion is because it is for contemplation. What is written is based on what is in the Holy Quran. One can either accept it or reject it.

    Allah swt says:

“Verily We have brought the Truth to you: But most of you have a hatred for Truth.” Quran: Surah 43, Ayah 78

I’ve had enough of people who have come to me (after we’ve had this discussion) with a single Ayah (a verse) or Ayat (verses) that pertains to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) only, but continue to ignore all the other Prophets. There are some Ayat in Quran that address only the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the same as there are some that only address Prophet Jesus (PBUH) or Prophet Moses (PBUH) or Prophet Abraham (PBUH) or Prophet Jonah or Prophet Lut (PBUH) or Prophet Noah (PBUH) et. al. There are some Ayat that address all the Prophets, and not them individually. The people living during the time of any Prophet were ordered to obey that Prophet. ALL of the Prophets were raised to honor.

Allah swt tells us that EVERYTHING that we need is in the Holy Quran, yet, there are those who contradict Allah and say it is not so. They say the Hadith is needed, as the Quran does not teach us how to pray. They are ignorant of the fact that Allah taught Prophet Adam (PBUH) the names of all things. We don’t need the Hadith to know how to pray. How did people know how to pray after the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) death before the Hadiths were written? (The “authentic” Hadiths were written two hundred years after the death of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).)

Those who argue we need the Hadith as we wouldn’t know how to pray without it are ignorant. They never read the Quran or read it and Allah swt placed a veil between them and the Quran so they could not understand it.

Prophet Abraham (PBUH) was Muslim. He lived before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Prophet Abraham (PBUH) and his son Ismail built the khabah. When Abraham was Prophet, Allah swt commanded the people to turn their faces to the Qiblah, towards the sacred mosque when they pray. The times of prayer are in the Quran, as well. Furthermore, Allah swt mentions the physical positions in which we may pray. Allah swt tells us in the Quran everything we need to know.

Allah tells us that everything we need to know is in the Holy Quran and he left out what was no longer necessary that had been in previous Books (revealed to other Prophets). People ran and gathered the unnecessary from people, people not even Prophets and basically said, hey, you’ve got to put it with the Quran. They will account to Allah swt for it. It is straight up shirk. Shirk is an unforgivable sin.
